Application Options
TJC Messenger has many other options that can be used to enhance user
experience and convenience.
Changing the Message Font
The font, color, or size of the text in your messages may be controlled by clicking
the "Font" button in the lower left-hand corner of the Main Window.
Setting the Window Opacity
Lowering the window opacity allows you to see what is beneath the Main
Window. See figure 1.

To change the window opacity, select "Window Opacity"
from the "Options" menu.
Show/Hide Timestamp
A timestamp can be shown on each individual message if desired. To
toggle the display of timestamps, check or uncheck the "Show Timestamp" option
in the "Options" menu.
Enable/Disable Sounds
By default, a sound is played each time a message is received. To turn
off this feature, uncheck the "Enable Sounds" option in the "Options" menu.
Emoticons (Smiley's)
Emoticons (also known as Smiley's) may be displayed in messages by right
clicking the lower text box and choosing the desired icon. See figure 2.

Emoticons may also be used by typing their text equivalent as shown below:
