Visual Paging

Alerts can be used like a visual paging system.  The large red box displayed can get the individual's attention even if they are not directly in front of the computer. 

How It Works

1. The user who wishes to send an alert clicks the "Send Alert" button at the bottom of the main window.  See figure 1.

2.  An alert dialog box will be displayed.  The recipient's name can be selected from a drop down box and a message is typed in.  Once the "Send" button is clicked, the selected user will receive the alert.  See figure 2.

3.  The recipient will receive an alert window similar to the one shown in figure 3.  If they have sounds enabled, they will also hear a phone ringing sound.
